Wild Beauty, Frame by Frame

Wildlife Photography

Wildlife is incredible — but it’s also under threat. Through my photos, I want to show its beauty and remind us what we stand to lose if we don’t protect it.

If we save our wild places, we will ultimately save ourselves.

A little about me

01.

I’m Evan

I was born and raised in Laois, Ireland, where quiet woodlands and winding rivers shaped my early connection to the natural world.

Relationship with nature

I’ve been obsessed with wildlife since I was a child, thanks to the influence of Steve Irwin and David Attenborough. Their passion sparked something in me early on, and I’ve been drawn to the natural world ever since.

Photography

Photography is an extension of my love for observing the natural world. I’ve always been drawn to the quiet beauty in wildlife, and picking up a camera just felt like the next step. It’s my way of sharing how I see nature.

My Process

My work starts long before I ever press the shutter. It begins with time spent planning, walking, waiting, and watching. Wildlife photography isn’t something you rush. It’s about being present, quiet, and open to whatever nature offers.

I’ve travelled across Ireland from the midlands to the coast and explored the mountains and forests of Spain in search of wildlife. Each trip is a chance to see something new or to return to a familiar place with fresh eyes.

All of the animals I photograph are truly wild, and every image is taken in an ethical and respectful way. I use a Canon R7 with a telephoto lens to keep a safe distance so the wildlife remains undisturbed and the moment stays real.

Most of the images you see come from early mornings or late evenings, often after hours of patience and. That’s just part of it.

Back home, I edit my photos in Lightroom, making careful adjustments to light, colour, and detail to bring out the best in each shot. I always aim to reflect how it felt in the moment, not to change it.
